This is advice if you lead a team in a Fintech company. If a new developer joins, you must instill the industry culture before the code.

Explain to them that Compliance exists to monitor every system movement and ensure the company follows laws and regulations.

Make them understand that security in Fintech is hypersensitive, not a luxury. Every line of code might be audited because any vulnerability means real financial risk.

Warn them about Packages/Libraries they install; they must check Licenses and security, as responsibility lies not just on the code but on every external dependency.

Tell them to think before storing user data: Do they really need it? Is it stored securely? Most importantly, any critical operation must be planned with Fallback Scenarios because they are dealing with real money, not just numbers.
